Overview

The Litigation alleges that investors purchased or acquired the common stock or preferred shares of Accredited Home Lenders Holding Co. (“Accredited”) Securities at allegedly artificially inflated prices as a result of Defendants' dissemination of allegedly materially false and misleading statements. The proposed Settlement, if approved by the Court, will resolve all claims and potential claims of Settlement Class Members against the Defendants and the other Related Parties in the Litigation by all persons and entities who purchased or acquired Accredited Securities between November 1, 2005 and March 12, 2007, inclusive (the “Settlement Class Period”), and who were damaged thereby (the “Settlement Class”), except for certain persons and entities who are excluded from the Settlement Class. Defendants deny that they are liable in any respect or that Plaintiffs or other Settlement Class Members suffered any injury.

Participate in the Settlement

To qualify for a payment, you must have sent in a claim form postmarked no later than November 17, 2009.

Exclusions and Objections

The deadline to exclude yourself from the settlement was October 13, 2009.

The deadline to object to the settlement was October 13, 2009.

Settlement Hearing

The Court held a hearing on November 2, 2009, at the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. At this hearing, the Court approved the settlement as fair, reasonable and adequate, and approved the Plan of Allocation, and the payment of fees, costs and expenses to Lead Counsel, including the award to Lead Plaintiff to compensate it for its time and effort in this case.
